Download the Firmware Update Tool from the brother website. If you can't print, then the firmware update will fail, so troubleshoot the printing issue first.Ģ. The firmware cannot be updated if you are printing using printer sharing and the Brother machine is connected to a different computer.ġ. Once the process starts do not restart or turn off your computer until the process completes. The firmware update process may take up to 15 minutes. We strongly recommend that you read the installation notes on the download page before running the firmware update tool.
